A page-for-page reprint of Locatellus's 1494/5 edition, with rough copies of the diagrams. As both type 81 R* and the woodcut initials appear to be material of Capcasa, this printer perhaps collaborated with De Bonellis in the present book. Cf. BM 15th cent.
Signatures: a-m⁸, n-q⁶ r-u⁸ x¹° [$1-4 (-a1) of 8 leaf gatherings and $1-3 of 6 leaf gatherings signed]. 162 leaves, numbered II-CLXI[I]. Numerous errors in pagination. Leaf LXVIII misnumbered as LXVII, LXXXVII misnumbered as LXXXVII, leaf LXXXIV misnumbered as LXXXX.
255 (260) x 163 mm ; gothic 142, roman 81, roman 81* ; 63 lines and head-line ; woodcut initials and some initial spaces with guide letters occupying 2, 3, 4 or 5 lines. Some text printed in 3 columns (tables), or 2 columns (De montibus, &c.)
Printed in Roman and gothic type, on paper watermarked with devices including scales with square pans (Briquet 2601), scales with rounded pans, unicorn.

Note Blind-tooled Oxford binding, attributed to Dragon Binder. Cf. H.M. Nixon, p. 2. Calf over wooden boards; blind-tooled front and back. Fleur-de-lis, crowned eagles within lozenges at the center; dragons and floral stamps on borders; clasps; raised bands.
